The Assignment:

My mother was going through her thousands of photographs and she wanted me to digitize them. As I was scanning the photos I thought it would be cool to have our own photo database that was just images uploaded by family members that could be tagged and filtered by date taken, date added, person or subject, etc and were searchable as well. I had written a couple websites in Django but wanted to do something a little more substantial. So I created TeamUsPhoto, a site built for a small group of members to upload, tag, comment, message, and discover pictures other members had shared.
