Looking For Bass Player

For Original Punk And Electronic Influenced Band

I am not sure exactly how to describe our music as it varies quite a bit from song to song. Some our my major influences are The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, Devo, Talking Heads, The Damned, The Cure, Bauhaus, T.S.O.L, Ariel Pink And The Haunted Graffiti, Ty Segall, Can, and Viagra Boys. This very short list is just the very first few names that came to mind but we love a whole lot of music from almost every music genre and in some way are probably influenced by all of it.

I have been the singer/guitarist/synth player and primary songwriter for a few bands first in the L.A. area, then in Boston. I moved to Seattle a couple years ago and really miss playing shows so I am trying to put together a band of creative, talented, and inspired musicians that just love to play and would be able to practice a couple times a week and play out once a month or so.

I myself am looking to refocus on guitar, my primary instrument, and find a dedicated bass player (we already have a vocalist, a drummer and myself). I would say I am not your typical 53 year old in that I haven’t settled into any particular playing or writing style and I am continuously bubbling over with new ideas and don’t expect to be slowing down any time soon. So I have played in bands that had both 20 something year olds and 60 year olds and everything in between and find that age matters little and passion and attitude are much more important.

I am located in Hillman City in South Seattle and have a basement that is converted to a practice space with a good PA and electronic drum kit for recording and keeping levels to a somewhat neighbor friendly range. I wrote a dozen songs early this year (2026) that I would really like to inject some creative juice into and play around town and just have some fun.

Check out the link below to hear some of my music. Songs 20 and on (Another Thousand Gallons) were all written in January 2026 and have not yet been played with a band and therefore are just blueprints for the song. I am hoping to find creative collaborators who can take these ideas and breathe their own life into the individual parts and find the real performances that will bring everything together in a more organic way. I also welcome collaboration in song writing so if you are a writer that is a plus.

If you like anything you hear, (especially Another Thousand Gallons and on) and play bass and would like to collaborate
